Fana Broadcasting Corporate or FBC, began service in 1994 with outdated technology and limited manpower, but with a new style that was the first of its kind in the country’s broadcast media industry.

Over time, Fana has made a great leap forward by improving its structure and programs.

Today it is known for its community-centered programs and commitment to improve the political and socio-economic livelihoods of the people.

Fana has also become highly preferable and better managed to attract more audiences and partners in its television, radio, and online services.

FBC or Fana's radio broadcasting services, operates its national and Fana FM 98.1 transmission, as well as, having opened FM stations out of the capital Addis Ababa in eleven regional cities where all stations are networked, equipped with the necessary manpower, and fitted with the latest radio technologies.

Currently, Fana Radio or FBC radio has twelve FM stations across the nation that provide broadcasting services in Amharic, Afan Oromo, Afarigna, Somaligan, Tigrigna, Wolaitigna and Sidamigna languages.
